Established since 2006, Kam Wui Decoration Limited (hereafter Kam Wui) has been actively involved in heritage restoration projects, specialising in the making and repairing of brickwork, roof, timberwork, mural, moulding, Shanghai Plaster, terrazzo, plaque and ceramic, etc. In 2019, Kam Wui established a 20,000 square feet new workshop with storage, where adequate equipment to restore historic buildings are set up.

Owing to our earnest and professional attitude towards heritage conservation, our company has been receiving positive comments in the industry. We understand that the requirements for restoring historic buildings are constantly improving. Conservation is not only about traditional craftsmanship, but also the understanding of history and heritage significance. In this regard, our company added a position of project consultant in 2017, whom possesses the qualification of HKICON, and at the same time invited architects and structural engineers who are familiar with heritage conservation as our partners, to ensure our works comply with conservation concepts and principles in all aspects. We, Kam Wui Decoration Limited, strive to become the first contractor in Hong Kong which provides both construction and consultancy services, supported by sound craftsmanship skills and academic knowledge.

Provide technical supports

Our team is not only capable of resolving problems in the course of construction works, but also working closely with the Architects, the Heritage Consultants or other professional bodies, to provide technical supports before works commencement. For example, we could advise the complexity of restoration works, availability of matching materials, cost estimates, etc., or conduct preliminary surveys to give more accurate information for decision-making purposes.
